Park Hyatt is a chain of high end hotels worldwide with head offices run out of Taiwan. This project was a new build and part of the development of Wynyard Quarter. The idea was to build an elegant 5-star hotel situated in a stunning location on the water’s edge, with great views of Auckland City and its harbour while also being accessible by boat.
In coordination with Hawkins construction, Tenfour was responsible for the audio visual fit out throughout the entire hotel. This included the building’s wide background music system, restaurants, bars and cafes within the hotel. Tenfour also looked after the fit out of the function rooms, meeting spaces, gyms, hydrotherapy areas and finally every single guest room display which included the hotel IPTV system.
Tenfour was tasked with design through to project management, installation and programming of these control and AV systems. This included not only AV, but building automation systems integration such as lighting, heaters and air conditioning in selected areas. All of these systems are controllable by touch panes located throughout the hotel.
Tenfour successfully completed the 3 year long project but not without challenges, we were required to navigate through a long list of deadlines to keep up with construction and work as a team by coordinating with Hawkins, other building services and contractors. We left with great relationships with all parties involved. It was one of our largest and longest running installs to date and we are very proud of it.
