The first to introduce real time mobile banking and TXT alerts, Kiwibank have always recognised the benefits of technology and innovation. This innovation and future focused thinking extends to their corporate environment with Kiwibank moving to embrace new ways of working with mobility and flexibility at the core of their strategic direction.

What We Did:

With this in mind and following an RFP process, Kiwibank engaged TenFour to design, install and support a consistent and scalable AV and conferencing solution to function alongside a Skype for Business platform. The roll-out correlated with Kiwibank’s move to new Wellington premises at 20 Customhouse Quay (20CQ) and included additional fit-outs at their Auckland, Christchurch, Hastings and Lower Hutt offices.

Project Objectives:

Design and install an enterprise-wide audio visual and video conferencing solution.

Final Results:

At 20CQ, a mix of room types were specified and a total of 51 spaces fitted-out across five levels. Here, collaborative spaces and meeting rooms are equipped with Polycom video conferencing and controlled via Crestron using a straightforward user interface. Users can connect laptops and compatible devices wirelessly or via Table-top box, catch-up in person or communicate and share content over VC easily. The larger boardroom spaces can also be expanded for added flexibility with room joining functionality.

For video conferencing, the Polycom RealPresence Group Series was chosen as it is the only standards-based system certified with Skype for Business and Office 365. The high-performance video and content quality ensures everyone can view and share without compromise and allows for interactive collaboration between distant teams.

Room booking is scheduled and managed via Crestron Fusion connecting directly to Microsoft Exchange calendaring. 7” touch screens outside each meeting space inform staff of the rooms availability and allow for on the spot booking for impromptu catch-ups. An invaluable productivity tool for organisations with multiple conference and meeting spaces, Crestron’s enterprise room scheduling platform is scalable and can work with other popular programs such as Office 365 and G Suite.

In total, 90+ automated spaces were fitted-out across Kiwibank’s corporate sites. With standardised equipment and a familiar user interface throughout, staff can conduct meetings efficiently and confidently no matter the location.

TenFour continue to work closely with Kiwibank and provide technical support under a service level agreement.
